A set of skills to equip individuals for serving alcohol responsibly.

Achievement of this unit provides credit towards qualifications in tourism, travel, hospitality, events, holiday parks and resorts in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

Licensing/Regulatory Information
Certification requirements apply at a state and territory level to individuals involved in the sale, service and promotional service of alcohol in licenced premises. Certification in some States relies on the achievement of SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol.

Responsible service of alcohol (RSA) legislative and knowledge requirements differ across borders. Those developing training to support the RSA unit must consult the relevant state or territory liquor licensing authority to determine any accreditation arrangements for courses, trainers and assessors.

How will I study?

Please register your interest online, then contact your local campus for enrolment details and the next available course. In this course you will undertake your learning and assessment via a connected classroom where you will be linked to your trainer by video conference from your local campus to a central location. Learning resources will be made available to you on the day of the course. You are required to attend for the seven (7) hours of the course, assessment will take place on the day.

This is a TAFE Western Connect course providing opportunities for students from regional and remote communities to study when convenient.

For successful completion of this course:
• Students must be 17 years or older to attend this course.
TAFE NSW conditions of entry to this course are the ability to work independently.

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

When will I study?

This course is delivered via Connected classroom

Please contact your local TAFE NSW Campus for attendance details. Course runs from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

What will I pay?

The course fee of $165.00 includes the cost of the Liquor Gaming NSW photo competency card. Your enrolment is not complete until you have finalised your fees. Refund of the course fee is only due in the following circumstances: TAFE NSW has cancelled the course you were enrolled in; or you formally advise the campus in writing at least seven days prior to the start of the course that you wish to withdraw. For cancellations advised within seven days of the start date of the course, no refunds are made. However, a substitute delegate may attend. If the course is cancelled you will be contacted 3 days prior to the course start date and offered a refund or an opportunity to transfer to an alternative course.

Non-Government subsidised fee: $165.00 per course (GST free). There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this option. Your tuition fee includes all essential study materials. Extra study resources may be available to enhance your learning and will attract an additional charge. A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.
