Bathurst Regional Council’s 2017 Jobs Expo is expected to be bigger than ever before with lots on offer for those on the hunt for a new job, or a career change.
TAFE NSW has once again signed on as the major sponsor for 2017, and have supported the event for the past three years. The jobs Expo will be held on Wednesday, August 9, at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.
Doors will open at 9am with approximately 50 exhibitors in attendance including Defence Force Recruiting, Woolworths, McDonalds, Paramedical Services, Western Sydney University and Spatial Services.
Bathurst Mayor Cr Graeme Hanger said Bathurst Regional Council is proud to be organising the Expo for the fourth year in a row.
Last year’s event was a success with around 2,100 job seekers and school leavers through the door. 2017 is anticipated to be even bigger with numbers expected to reach 2,500.
“By supporting the local business community through incentives like these, Council can continue to provide ongoing benefit to the wider community through jobs growth and developing the local economy," Cr Graeme Hanger said.
“At TAFE NSW we pride ourselves on providing training and education opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, which in-turn can lead to successful and exciting employment outcomes, in and around the Bathurst Region.” TAFE NSW Regional General Manager Kate Baxter added.
