About the Course

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a range of well-developed operational skills and knowledge of industry operations to complete work activities. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in holiday parks and resorts as a specialist in front office, housekeeping or grounds maintenance, or a multi-skilled worker across different operational areas

Possible job titles include:
- grounds person
- handyperson
- housekeeper
- receptionist.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Available as a traineeship

This course is targeted to people who have access to workplaces which will provide experiences and learning to support the agreed units for the qualification.

How will I study?

All training is delivered by industry current teachers, students are provided with ongoing support, to ensure that students can complete their studies in an appropriate time frame.

The earliest start date for this course will be 14/01/2019.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in holiday parks and resorts as a specialist in front office, housekeeping, grounds maintenance, or a multi-skilled worker across different operational areas within the business.

Students will be monitored on a weekly basis with support provided from teaching staff.

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

When will I study?

This course is delivered via Online, Posted resources and Connected classroom

Class attendance is Part time

Once students are enrolled in this course a study plan will be developed in consultation with the student. Students will study by flexible delivery from home, using a range of course material to enable effective learning.

Course length: 36 Weeks

What will I pay?

A course materials charge of $200 is applicable to this course. this fee provides you with essential course resources, for use as a reference guide during and after the course.

The amount you pay will depend on your individual circumstances.

TAFE NSW Government-subsidised fee (for eligible students): Up to $2,550.00 per course (GST free).

The fee that is displayed is the price for a student completing their second qualification and meeting eligibility criteria. The fee you pay may be lower depending on your personal circumstances and eligibility for a subsidised place, a concession or an exemption. In some cases there are limited government subsidised places available.

Please contact your nearest TAFE Western campus or call us on 1300 823 393 for a personal fee assessment and to find out if you are eligible for a government subsidised place. If you do not gain a subsidised place you may be able to enrol and pay the non-government subsidised fee.

A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.

There is an additional cost for Materials of $200.00.
