In this role, individuals use well developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems and analyse information from a variety of sources. They may provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.

How will I study?

To successfully complete this course in the timeframe given you would need to have high level computing skills and be able to work independently. This course is aimed at students who wish to be leaders/supervisors within an organisation.

For successful completion of this course you will need:
- complete units within given timeframe and demonstrate high level research skills - will also need to be able to work independently and meet deadlines

TAFE Western conditions of entry to this course are the ability to work independently.

You will be allocated a trainer who will organise your resources and assessments. Your trainer will have contact with you via email or phone for the duration of the course. This course is not fully online. Your resources and contact will be by email. You will need to consistently hand in units as specified by your teacher. It is advisable to ring the college before enrolling to discuss prior skills and knowledge.

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

Class attendance is Part time

This is a flexible delivery course that is offered over twelve- sixteen months.

Course length: 10 hours per week for 18 Months

What will I pay?

The amount you pay will depend on your individual circumstances.

TAFE NSW Government-subsidised fee (for eligible students): Up to $1,850.00 per course (GST free).

The fee that is displayed is the price for a student completing their second qualification and meeting eligibility criteria. The fee you pay may be lower depending on your personal circumstances and eligibility for a subsidised place, a concession or an exemption. In some cases there are limited government subsidised places available.

How will I study?

To successfully complete this course you would need to be able to demonstrate intermediate skills in word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing. The content of Certificate IV is at a supervisory level and prior competence in using computing packages will allow you to complete the complex level tasks required. It is also an advantage if you have previously worked in an office environment as you will need to demonstrate in your answers that you are at a supervisory level of competence.

The earliest start date for this course will be 04/02/2019.
You will have contact with your teacher/assessor by email or phone for the duration of the course. You will need to consistently hand in units to ensure you are able to successfully course complete within the timeframe of the course.
