About the Course

This course is for people who use a commercial espresso machine.

You will acquire the skills and knowledge to extract and serve espresso coffee using a commercial espresso machine, including the storage of coffee and related ingredients, as well as the cleaning, care and preventative maintenance of coffee related machinery.

How will I study?

Delivery Location: Orange College, March Street Campus

You must wear closed in shoes to partipate in this course as you will be working with hot liquids.

Learn how to use a professional espresso machine and start making coffee like a barista. You will complete two units in this course, SITXFSA001 - use hygienic practices for food safety (a pre-requisite unit) and SITHFAB005 - prepare and serve espresso coffee. Once you have completed both units you will receive a Statement of Attainment and be able to work in cafes, coffee shope or whereever coffee is sold.

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

When will I study?

Class attendance is Part time

This course is a one day course for 8 hours. Class starts at 9:00am and finishes at 4:30pm.

What will I pay?

Non-Government subsidised fee: $250.00 per course (GST free). There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this option. Your tuition fee includes all essential study materials. Extra study resources may be available to enhance your learning and will attract an additional charge.
