The 2017 TAFE Western Trainee of the Year is Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care student Tess Bishenden.
Tess began working at Waratah Early Learning Centre at the beginning of 2016 and was a very keen and diligent trainee. She was willing to learn and motivated to go above what was expected of her as a student and employee.
Tess had a wonderful attitude towards learning and was able to manage herself in a manner that was admirable. She completed all her tasks in a timely manner and to the highest quality.
Tess was always polite, willing to take on feedback and was very much a quiet achiever. Her skills and knowledge are a real benefit to Waratah Early Learning Centre, who retained her once her traineeship was completed.
“Tess keenly put on her learner hat and was hungry for knowledge and guidance both in theory and practice. Tess is a steady and quiet worker, who is a model student and should be proud of her efforts and how she conducted herself in such a professional manner.” – Susan Bird.
