TAFE Western’s Mudgee Student Hub will turn pink for a great cause during October, joining businesses and organisations across the town to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
College Team Leader Samantha Cosgrove said Mudgee TAFE jumped at the opportunity to join in the Pink Up movement in Mudgee – the first town in Australia for the year to shine a light on the effects of breast cancer in their local community.
“We are very happy to join with the Mudgee Community to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation, and also to raise awareness of breast cancer in the community. We are very pleased with the way students and staff are getting on board to support the cause, and we’re really enjoying decorating our new Student Hub with even more pink!” she said.
Ms Cosgrove said TAFE Western would host a pink morning tea on October 18 from 10am – 11:30am.
Donna Falconer and her Groovy Booby Bus will be in attendance, with students and staff encouraged to wear pink and purchase morning tea items, with all money raised going to the McGrath Foundation.
