NSW TAFE Western Institute has developed a mobile classroom for on-site training by the Faculty of Manufacturing, Engineering Construction and Transport. The classroom has already been in use for training at Delta Electricity but came back to Orange to be displayed and officially launched during the Central West Jobs Expo at the Orange Function Centre.
Mike Gibson, Director of Educational Delivery for the Faculty of Manufacturing, Engineering Construction and Transport, said “The mobile classroom enables us to provide on-site training at any location for up to 12 people at a time. It is fitted with modern teaching facilities and increases the flexibility of our training partnerships.”
“The faculty has partnerships to deliver training to a significant number of organisations and businesses across several industries, so our new mobile classroom helps us to provide lectures and tutorial assistance where and when it is needed”
" Quite often we need to deliver training on work sites where the only suitable building is a lunch room or staff canteen. This mobile classroom ensures we can have dedicated teaching space where and when its required."
