Today is a landmark occasion for education and training in Lithgow, with Member for Bathurst Paul Toole officially opening TAFE NSW Lithgow’s state-of-the-art Student Hub.
Mr Toole said the new $1.6 million dollar facility would significantly enhance the education and training services provided at TAFE NSW Lithgow, with thousands of students to reap the benefits.
“This new building not only looks magnificent, it’s much more practical and user friendly,” Mr Toole said.
“The Student Hub is a one-stop-shop for students, who can now access a range of important services such as counselling, library services, Aboriginal student support, disability support services, course and career information, teaching support and advice and much more, all from the one location.
“The building is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology, including multifunctional, interactive and face-to-face learning spaces that allow students to access a range of quality online and blended courses available at TAFE NSW.”
Mr Toole said the NSW Government’s $1.6 million funding of this project was a vitally important long-term investment in the education and training opportunities available for the Lithgow community.
“This investment not only maximises the learning experience for students at TAFE NSW Lithgow, it also shows TAFE NSW is continuining to provide the community with exciting training and education opportunities that lead to real-life employment outcomes,” Mr Toole said.
“The Student Hub demonstrates how the NSW Government is not only investing in TAFE NSW, but also investing in training the workforce of the future.”
Mr Toole said the new Student Hub was fully operational now, and encouraged the community to call in and see the new facility and explore the wide range of exciting training oportunities offered through TAFE NSW.
