Recent changes to vocational education and training in NSW have some people confused about what courses they might be able to study this year however TAFE Western’s Institute Director Ms Kate Baxter has responded by saying that the Cowra College is open for business and taking enrolments.
“TAFE Western has been awarded a NSW Government Smart and Skilled contract which means we will continue to meet the vocational education and training needs of students in Cowra and surrounding areas,” Ms Baxter said. “We have 24 colleges and cover more than half the state of NSW.”
“We offer a broad range of courses at our Cowra College including; online courses; courses delivered by mobile learning units; and courses delivered by connected classroom in addition to those courses being offered face to face.”
The changes may seem complex but Ms Baxter said support was available at the local TAFE College.
“I would encourage anyone thinking of completing a qualification in 2015 to talk to one of our friendly staff members as course costs depend on individual eligibility criteria. We can also help prospective students who are not sure about the right course for their career interests and aspirations through our counselling and career’s advisors.”
TAFE Western’s Cowra College is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Students can also call 1300 823 393 or Google TAFE Western for further information.
Enrolments for all courses being offered at TAFE western in 2015 are now open with classes commencing in February.
