Manager TAFE NSW Services Matt Felvus has hit the ground running in his new role in Mudgee paying particular attention to the needs of the community to ensure TAFE NSW is training a skilled workforce for the future.
Mr Felvus, who started in the role in early April, is very excited to be working with TAFE Services Coordinators across Mudgee, Cowra, Bathurst, Lithgow and Grenfell campuses to deliver quality training and education opportunities.
“Prior to this role, I worked for the Department of Justice at Macquarie Correctional Centre in Wellington. I was working as the Educational Services Coordinator, which involved managing the educational programs component of offenders’ structured days,” he said.
“I’m really enjoying the role at TAFE NSW so far, and feel fortunate to be appointed to this position in such a wonderful region like the central west.
“We have commenced reaching out to the community and I strongly believe that I can help TAFE NSW in Mudgee to deliver the training and educational opportunities that students, industry and the community needs.”
Mr Felvus said it was great to see some new course offerings at TAFE NSW Mudgee for semester two.
“We have an exciting new course available for semester two- a Statement of Attainment in an introduction to Welding,” he said.
“This is just one of the short courses that we have available, It’s a very exciting time for TAFE NSW Mudgee and I encourage the community to make the most of the wide variety of training opportunities available to them.”
