This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of roles within the human resources sector who have a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. Typically they would have responsibility for the work of other staff.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

How will I study?
Units included in the Diploma of Human Resource Management are:

• BSBHRM512 Develop and manage performance management processes
• BSBRSK501 Manage risk
• BSBHRM506 Manage recruitment, selection and induction processes
• BSBHRM513 Manage workforce planning
• BSBWRK510 Manage employee relations
• BSBLED501 Develop a workplace learning environment
• BSBWHS401 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements
• BSBHRM507 Manage separation and termination
Your facilitators are highly qualified with extensive workplace experience. They aim to help you understand the theory and apply it to the workplace using practical examples and hands-on tasks with regular feedback and guidance along the way.
Intakes will take place 4 times per year. Students can enrol at any enrolment point throughout the year and will commence with the units being offered at that time.
This course can also be customised specifically for your business, at a time/date/place that best meets your needs.
This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.
When will I study?
Class attendance is Part time
This course is delivered online. There is additional support available through email and phone with your coordinator. Students will also have the option to attend designated workshops and adobe connect sessions.
Course length: 2 hours per week for 18 MonthsStart Date: 7 May 2018
End Date: 7 November 2019
What will I pay?
A VET student loan may be available to eligible students to cover some or all of their course fees. More information will be made available closer to your enrolment.
The amount you pay will depend on your individual circumstances.
TAFE NSW Government-subsidised fee (for eligible students): Up to $2,850.00 (GST free).
The fee that is displayed is the price for a student completing their second qualification and meeting eligibility criteria. The fee you pay may be lower depending on your personal circumstances and eligibility for a subsidised place, a concession or an exemption. In some cases there are limited government subsidised places available.
Please contact your nearest TAFE Western campus or call us on 1300 823 393 for a personal fee assessment and to find out if you are eligible for a government subsidised place. If you do not gain a subsidised place you may be able to enrol and pay the non-government subsidised fee.
A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.
Study Now, Pay Later
VET Student Loans commenced on 1 January 2017, replacing the VET FEE-HELP scheme, which ceased on 31 December 2016. The new student loans program gives eligible students access to quality higher level VET qualifications, particularly those students who could not otherwise afford to pay upfront.

What do I need?
There are no entry requirements for this qualification. However students entering into this qualification would usually have some previous experience working in the Human Resources field or hold relevant qualifications. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available if you have relevant skills, knowledge, previous training or experience. For further information, please contact the teaching section.
TAFE West conditions of entry to this course are the ability to work independently.
