What will I pay?

A $200 materials charge will cover all items required to complete this course

The amount you pay will depend on your individual circumstances.

TAFE NSW Government-subsidised fee (for eligible students): $0 per course - no enrolment fee applicable for this course

Please contact your nearest TAFE Western campus or call us on 1300 823 393 for a personal fee assessment and to find out if you are eligible for a government subsidised place. If you do not gain a subsidised place you may be able to enrol and pay the non-government subsidised fee.

A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.

What do I need?

Resources required:

* Pen/s and notebook
* PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

It is your responsibility to supply your Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Due to safety and hygiene regulations, students are to supply their own protective equipment. A standard list of items should include: gloves, clear safety glasses and approved hearing protection. You must wear cotton drill long sleeve shirt, long trousers and leather boots - NOT SHOES. No synthetic materials should be worn.

This equipment is required by all students undertaking courses within the Fitting and Machining Welding section.
As WH&S plays such an important role within industry today, it will be mandatory for all students undertaking a course to provide and wear Personal Protective Equipment as directed by their instructor. Failure to provide and wear this equipment may exclude student from attending their chosen course.

Personal Protective Equipment
• Cotton Work Clothing (overalls, cotton drill trousers, cotton drill shirt etc)
• Leather Work Boots (not shoes)
• Leather Gloves
• Clear Safety Glasses
• Hearing Protection

While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, TAFE Western conditions of entry to this course are:
