About the Course

This course provides the skills and knowledge to be an effective manager and leader. It applies to managers and supervisors who use initiative and judgement to organise the work of self and others and plan, evaluate and co-ordinate the work of teams.
Key areas covered include:
• the development and use of emotional intelligence to increase self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management in the context of the workplace.
• presenting and negotiating persuasively, leading and participating in meetings and making presentations to customers, clients and others
• how to create an environment that enables and supports the application of innovative practice focusing on a holistic approach to the integration of innovation across all areas of work practice.
• continuous improvement systems and processes with particular emphasis on the development of systems and the analysis of information to monitor and adjust performance strategies, and to manage opportunities for further improvements.
