This course provides the skills and knowledge to give individuals aspiring to management and supervisory roles an insight into their own emotional intelligence. Discover your stressors and triggers and the impact that your emotions may have on you and your team. Learn how to promote emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes, communicate effectively, negotiate for desired outcomes and coordinate customer service strategies to improve customer relationships.

How will I study?

Statement of attainment in Pathway Leadership fundamentals (Certificate IV level)

This course provides the skills and knowledge to give individuals aspiring to management and supervisory roles an insight into their own emotional intelligence. Discover your stressors and triggers and the impact that your emotions may have on you and your team. Learn how to promote emotional intelligence to maximise team outcomes. Additionally, learn how to communicate effectively, negotiate for desired outcomes and coordinate customer service strategies to improve customer relationships.

Units included in the subsidised skillset:
BSBWOR404 Develop work priorities
BSBLDR501 Develop and use emotional intelligence
BSBLDR401 Communicate effectively as a workplace leader
BSBCUS401 Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies

Once you complete this Statement of Attainment you may enrol in the full Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (BSB42015) course and you will receive credits for the units that you have completed. You will need to complete a further 8 units if you wish to complete the Full Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course BSB42015.

The course will be delivered with online notes, with no requirement to attend class. You can study from home or work over a 9 month period. Email and phone support is provided by your teacher. Your course coordinator has set aside a tutorial time specifically to take phone calls, answer emails or set up video conference links with you. You can contact your course coordinator outside of these times.

To complete this course, you will need to have a computer (or smart mobile device, e.g., iPad) and an internet connection.

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

When will I study?

This course is delivered via Online and Workshops

This course is offered online, but students will also have the opportunity to attend workshops and tutorial sessions

Course length: 1 hours per week for 1 Year

What will I pay?

The amount you pay will depend on your individual circumstances.

TAFE NSW Government-subsidised fee (for eligible students): $0 per course - no enrolment fee applicable for this course

Please contact your nearest TAFE Western campus or call us on 1300 823 393 for a personal fee assessment and to find out if you are eligible for a government subsidised place. If you do not gain a subsidised place you may be able to enrol and pay the non-government subsidised fee.

A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.
