About the Course

This 12 hour course explains how to provide initial support to adults who are
developing a mental illness or experiencing a mental health crisis, until
appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis resolves.

Mental health first aid is an evidence-based training program authored by Mental
Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia.

How will I study?

This 12-hour course for adults helping other adults (suitable for delivery within communities and workplaces)

This program includes activities which are to be completed in your own time.

When will I study?

Class attendance is Part time

Face-to-face training is delivered by an Accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor. The delivery is 9.30am to 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday 30th and 31st August 2017.

Start Date: 30 August 2017
End Date: 31 August 2017

What will I pay?

Non-Government subsidised fee: $270.00 per course (GST free). There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this option. Your tuition fee includes all essential study materials. Extra study resources may be available to enhance your learning and will attract an additional charge. Please contact your nearest TAFE Western campus or call us on 1300 823 393 for more information and payment options. Fees, charges and course offerings are subject to change.

A payment must be made towards your course fee (if applicable) at the time you enrol or your place in the class will not be confirmed and you will not be able to access any of your learning resources.
