TAFE Western Institute Director Kate Baxter today revealed Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations and Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care courses were Orange’s most popular in 2015.
Ms Baxter believes demand in both courses remains high because they are led by industry experts and often provide real-life employment opportunities and outcomes.
“Across our 24 colleges both the Civil Construction and Early Childhood Education courses are very popular and this popularity reflects high industry demand in both areas,” Ms Baxter said.
“Students in both courses learn a broad range of skills and TAFE Western’s hands-on learning approach is extremely popular with our students.”

“In some instances training will be fee-free,” Ms Baxter said. “Changes to Smart and Skilled will provide easier and more affordable access to quality education and training options for thousands of people in the central west,” she said.
“For school leavers, people considering a new career or those simply needing to brush up on their skills, there’s never been a better time to consider TAFE.”
