TAFE NSW Western Institute has entered a new era by working with a new recruitment firm to improve the employment outcomes for students. This year an arrangement with Staff Recruitment Group has been put in place to service local employers and employees.
Adrian Mitchell, Director TAFE NSW - Western Institute, said "This agreement is designed to improve communication between TAFE, employers and employees with the view to providing better employment outcomes for TAFE students.
"The Institute is committed to link training with employment outcomes so forging relationships with all employment services and local industries is an important part of our business. Whist our relationship with Staff Recruitment group is not exclusive we have welcomed the opportunity to have a service established on our campuses.
"The Staff Recruitment Group now has an office on the Orange TAFE campus in March Street and will have access to other campuses throughout the Institute.
"I anticipate that the experience provided by Staff Recruitment Group director, Brad Draper and his staff will be a great boost to our students, the unemployed and those seeking a change in careers. We offer a lot of training for first time job seekers and also mature aged workers wanting to re-enter the work force, it is logical to follow this through by enabling access to experienced employment professionals.
"We already work closely with many industries and businesses to meet their staff training needs, Staff Recruitment Group will have the opportunity to build on this and as well as helping to place students in the workforce and will be able to liaise with our teachers and planners about future training needs," Mr Mitchell concluded.
Director of the Staff Recruitment Group, Brad Draper said he is looking forward to working closely with the Western Institute to help businesses find suitable employees and to place students into the workforce - finding the best fit for the best long term results.
Mr Draper said, "Although our main offices are in Orange and Dubbo we will be able to provide services right across central and western NSW. The TAFE networks will enable a new level of recruitment services across the region.
"As employment professionals we provide a full compliment of recruitment and HR solutions on a local and regional basis."
"Through our arrangements with TAFE NSW Western Institute we will be working to match the training needs of industries with their current and future employees"
