TAFE Western is focusing on providing a more flexible service to its prospective students with a new approach to enrolment for courses starting in semester two. Students are able to enrol now and up until classes commence on 18 July. This is a move away from the traditional enrolment day at the beginning of semester.
Kate Baxter, TAFE Western's Institute Director believes a longer enrolment period offers greater convenience to students. "In the past students have had to enrol for their course on a particular day" she said.
"We've responded to feedback and have opened up the enrolment period so that prospective students are now able to enrol at a time that suits them between now and when classes commence on 18 July or up until the class is full."
As places for most courses are limited, Kate Baxter encourages students to enrol early to avoid disappointment. "Students should select the course they would like to do as well check they meet the course entry requirements, and that the course study options and locations suit their needs," said Ms Baxter.
"Students may like to talk to one of our counsellors or the head teacher before they make a final decision and students should also make sure they are aware of the relevant course fees and payment options before they enrol," she said.
