Two Orange TAFE NSW staff members were recognised among the most outstanding in western NSW for 2017 at a special awards ceremony on Friday.
Each year Regional General Manager Kate Baxter hand picks several extraordinary staff from the West Region for acknowledgement, recognising their hard work, commitment to their students and customers, and ability to excel in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector.
This year, Director of Customer Service and Facilities John Maginnis and Manager of Educational Programs Michael Bourke both won Individual Excellence Awards.
“Staff at TAFE NSW in Orange and across NSW continue to flourish in a busy environment and it was a pleasure to pay tribute to John and Michael who have achieved a great deal in 2017,” Ms Baxter said.
“John embeds the values of excellence and integrity into all areas of responsibility. His pursuit of excellence in his work, dedication and commitment to positive outcomes is a huge asset to the organisation.
“Michael is an excellent leader and mentor. He is calm under pressure, and ignites the people around him to strive for excellence. His knowledge, experience, loyalty and commitment has see him win the respect of his peers and colleagues.”
