The 2017 TAFE Western Encouragement Award winner was Certificate II in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) student Jonathan Emeny.
As a school-based apprentice, who did not attend any face-to-face classes at TAFE Western, Jonathan Emeny proved himself as a resourceful and independent learner.
By balancing school, TAFE, study and work, he demonstrated a commitment to TAFE, Mudgee High School and his employer Mudgee Lamb that was matched only by his knowledge and outstanding skillset.
Jonathan is a valued member of a small working team at Mudgee Lamb – his time at TAFE helping him acquire the skills required to promote local produce while adding value to customer service.
As a result of his commitment to training, Jonathan has becme a great role model and a real success story.
