TVET (TAFE-delivered Vocational Education and Training) students in Mudgee took centre stage this week, highlighting the exciting options available to the region’s high school students next year.
TAFE NSW TVET Co-ordinator, Melissa Baxter, said the program was ideal for students in years 10, 11 and 12, providing them with an opportunity to pursue exciting subjects.
“TVET gives students real-life, hands-on learning opportunities that may not be available at school,” Ms Baxter said.
“It also gives them nationally accredited units of competence, counts towards their Higher School Certificate and helps them make informed decisions about their future careers.”
Ms Baxter said TAFE NSW had a range of TVET courses available in Mudgee, including Automotive, Electrotechnology, Animal Studies, Business Services, Early Childhood, Construction, Human Services and Financial services.
