TAFE Western’s multi-million dollar, state-of-the-art new learning resource centre in Mudgee will open for business from Monday, August 22.
And to celebrate this significant milestone TAFE Western has a number of fun and exciting events planned next week, including:
A celebratory morning tea at 10am and a special barbecue at noon on Tuesday.
“We’re really excited to open this new facility, which will be a one-stop shop for support services such as administration, counselling, disability support, course and career information and library services, as well as providing dedicated spaces for interactive learning and social gatherings,” TAFE Western Manager of Student Hubs Donna Polak said.
“This new facility has the potential to help thousands of students with their studies and maximise their learning experience at TAFE.”
TAFE Western Mudgee College Team Leader Samantha Cosgrove encouraged the community to come along and check out the new facility next week.
“We are very excited to finally have all of Mudgee College’s students and staff in one location,” she said. “This will allow all students to utilise the state-of-the-art facilities in the new Student Hub, and will allow for greater collaboration between all of TAFE’s different sections.
“Next week’s events are a great opportunity to come along and have a cuppa and check out this amazing new building, which will become a very important asset for the Mudgee community.”
Minister for Regional Development, Skills and Small Business, The Hon John Barilaro MP will officially open the facility at a date to be confirmed later in the year.
