Five lucky TAFE Western Dubbo College students from a range of courses will be presented with $1,000 Macquarie Credit Union scholarships at a special ceremony in Dubbo on Thursday (April 21).
TAFE Western Manager of Student Hubs Donna Polak said the scholarships would help students with costs associated with their training, fees and learning resources.
“For the past couple of years Macquarie Credit Union has generously helped nearly 20 TAFE Western students with these scholarships,” Ms Polak said.
“These financial contributions go a long way to assisting our students achieve their training and education aspirations that may not have been possible without Macquarie Credit Union’s support.”
This year’s scholarship recipients include Certificate IV Community Services student Karen Allen, Diploma of Enrolled Nursing Student Krystal Brassington, Certificate III Community Services Certificate Grace Everingham and Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care student Sukhvinder Kaur.
The final scholarship recipient is Shantelle Mayne, who is enrolled in both a Certificate IV in Community Services and Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical).
Macquarie Credit Union General Manager Matthew Bow said he was thrilled to see the scholarship program making such a difference for students.
“A good education is paramount in today’s society, and we are very excited to partner with TAFE Western to help change lives by allowing students to complete their studies and achieve success in their chosen careers,” he said.

The Macquarie Credit Union scholarship ceremony will be held at TAFE Western’s Myall Street College Student Hub at 11am on Thursday (April 21).
