Having spent more than 35 years in the Trangie and Warren area, Kerryn Ryan loves being part of a close-knit community.
Through her new role as Community Customer Support Officer with TAFE Western Warren College, Ms Ryan hopes to help people achieve their study, education and career goals.
“When I saw this position advertised, I was looking for a new challenge,” Ms Ryan said.
“I’ve worked for TAFE Western for nearly three months and I’m really enjoying meeting the students and relishing the opportunity to work with the local community.
“Warren is a very passionate community and I’m looking forward to helping people change their lives with exciting and state-of-the-art learning and education opportunities.”
Ms Ryan comes to TAFE Western Warren College with plenty of experience. She was Administration Manager at Auscott Limited in Warren for nearly three years, spent time at NAB and Bankwest in the agricultural banking industry and most recently helped run the Nevertire Hotel with her parents for the past two-and-a-half years.
“My aim is to immerse myself in the local community to gain a full understanding of what people want from TAFE Western,” Ms Ryan added.
“I hope to provide the local community with an understanding of the types of services TAFE Western offers. There are many different options at the Warren College, including TAFE Western Connect (TWC), where great courses are delivered through video conferencing.
“It’s a very connected world nowadays and I want to show people in the district the amazing services we offer.”
