Teaching fresh, exciting and new ideas will be the focus of a fully subsidised Children’s Services Statement of Attainment course being offered by TAFE Western Cowra College.
TAFE Western East Head Teacher of Children Services Karen Howarth said the course would promote creativity and sustainability in early childhood and should appeal to those who are considering a career in the industry and those already in the industry wishing to advance their study, improve their skills and learn fun new methods to introduce in their service.
“This Statement of Attainment is perfect for students who have just completed their Certificate III Early Childhood Education qualification and want to gauge whether they would like to pursue their studies further to a Diploma in Early Childhood Education,” Ms Howarth said.
“The best part about this Statement of Attainment is that it contains three units that count towards the Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.
“All three units strongly focus on hands-on learning and will give participants new and exciting ideas of how to think outside the box while still providing captivating experiences for their children.
“Because this particular Statement of Attainment course is fully subsidised, there’s never been a better opportunity than this to upgrade your qualifications or begin a qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.”
Ms Howarth said the Statement of Attainment course would run on a Thursday afternoon/evening at the Cowra College, ensuring it would not affect those currently working in the industry.
“The course will run from 5.30pm to 9pm, a perfect timeslot for people who work during the day,” she said.
“The course will run weekly for 12 weeks, with a start date of March 17.
“I’m encouraging those people interested to get in contact with me as soon as possible because numbers are limited.”
