With a new year comes exciting opportunities at TAFE Western Wellington College, with enrolments for a number of stimulating courses now being accepted.
College Team Leader Adam Peckham believes TAFE Western continues to remain an excellent choice for students who finished school in 2015, as well as people looking to upskill, or start the path to a new and exciting career.
“In 2015 TAFE Western Wellington College helped lots of students of all ages and abilities achieve their education goals, with many delivering real-life employment outcomes,” he said.
“I’d encourage those sitting back pondering what they want to do in the future to consider coming to TAFE – we really do have courses to suit everyone and the best part is our learning is hands-on and not always confined to the classroom.”
Mr Peckham said 2015’s most popular courses at Wellington included Certificate I in Access to Work and Training, Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, as well as Certificate II in Horticulture.
“These are just some of the courses that we have available for 2016,” Mr Peckham said. “At TAFE Western we pride ourselves on offering options catered to suit everyone.”
Other popular courses at Wellington that are now accepting enrolments include:
“TAFE Western also offers learning through the award-winning TAFE Western Connect (TWC) program, which allows students to study a course of their choice remotely, from the comfort of their own home,” Mr Peckham said.
“This should appeal to many people locally who wish to study courses that aren’t offered here at Wellington College. Courses including Community Services, Construction, Education Support, Individual Support (Aging), Animal Studies, Commercial Cookery, Tourism and Youth Work, just to name a few, are available through TWC.
