For the third successive year, TAFE NSW Broken Hill’s most popular course for 2017 has remained the Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade), Regional General Manager Kate Baxter announced today.
Ms Baxter said the course again attracted a lot of interest in 2017 because of strong industry demand and because it provided graduates with exciting employment opportunities.
“Engineering was not only extremely popular in Broken Hill, it was one of our most popular courses right across western NSW,” Ms Baxter said.
“The Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) is popular with our students because they enjoy getting hands-on while learning from industry experts in our workshops.
“Students are also excited by the fact that Engineering is a huge growth area in NSW and the quality, well respected training students receive at TAFE NSW can lead to real-life employment opportunities.”
Ms Baxter noted that interest in the Certificate III in Business Administration remained strong in 2017, while Certificates I, II and III in Information, Digital Media and Technology courses had recorded the biggest increase in enrolments and interest of any courses in Broken Hill this year.
