Three Bathurst TAFE NSW staff members were recognised among the most outstanding in western NSW for 2017 at a special awards ceremony in Orange on Friday.
Each year Regional General Manager Kate Baxter hand picks several extraordinary staff from the West Region for acknowledgement, recognising their hard work, commitment to their students and customers, and ability to excel in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector.
This year, Student Engagement Officer Angela Trevor-Jones and Executive Assistant Jenny Pickford won Individual Excellence Awards, while Library Technician Alison Abbott was presented with a Customer Excellence Award.
“Staff at TAFE NSW in Bathurst and across NSW continue to flourish in a busy environment and it was an absolute pleasure to pay tribute to Angela, Jenny and Alison who have all achieved a great deal in 2017,” Ms Baxter said.
“Angela demonstrates integrity, dependability and honesty on a daily basis. She places immense value in her relationships with her co-workers, students and communities which generates great confidence in her ability.
“Jenny is able to successfully engage with all staff. Her intelligence, high skill levels and pro-active nature make her a huge asset to the organisation.
“Finally, Alison’s superior people and customer service skills have seen her engage, attract and retain students. She is an inspiration to her colleagues and students alike.”
