NSW Farmers Tertiary Scholarship Program
NSW Farmers Association awards a number of scholarships each year under the Association's Tertiary Scholarship Program.
The scholarships are open to students who are members or come from a family that are members (See eligibility criteria for full requirements), undertaking full time courses in the second or subsequent year of tertiary study (exceptions for the vocational scholarship). They are available for students studying any course at any recognised tertiary Institution, and are not limited to studying in NSW.

Smart and Skilled NSW Jobs of Tomorrow Scholarship
The NSW Government has announced the Jobs of Tomorrow scholarships for students undertaking NSW Skills List qualifications in selected science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) industry Area.
25,000 scholarships worth $1000 will be offered to successful applicants in Certificate IV to Advanced Diploma level qualifications ons over the next four years.
Applications for the 2016 (first) round will open in March.

Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship
The Sandy Smith Memorial Scholarship is provided by the Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise to honour the memory of Sandy Smith. Sandy was a member of the Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise and highly valued TAFE Teacher at the TAFE Mudgee College.
The Sandy Smith Scholarship is provided for TAFE Western students studying at Mudgee Campus.
Tertiary Education Scholarship
A Start in Life is a small Charity that has been working with students and families for over 90 Years.
We are based in Sydney NSW but provide assistance to students Australia wide.
As part of our support we offer Tertiary (University or TAFE) Scholarships to students who are:
- 18-24 years of age
- Studying fulltime on campus (not online/by distance)
- Australian Citizens
- In financial need
We are currently accepting a second round of applications from students needing support in 2016 and reaching out to Universities and TAFES across Australia to ensure places are filledd, applications are open until 17th February.
NSW Department of Health
TAFE NSW's partnership with the NSW Department of Health continues next year with the offer of over 200 scholarships for the 2016 Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nursing) Program.
The program will see students training at metropolitan and rural TAFE NSW Colleges, as well as the NSW Health Registered Training Organisation at Rozelle and Liverpool with clinical experiences in the NSW Health system. The scholarships will cover full payment of student program fees. In addition, offers of employment in a NSW public health facility will be made to suitable applicants upon successful completion of the program, standard recruitment processes and employment checks.
Successful scholarship applicants will commence the TAFE NSW course from April 2016 and the course runs for between 12 and 18 months.
BBM Frank Mansell Travel Scholarship for Agriculture 2015-2016
The Big Brother movement sponsors an $8000 travel scholarship, the BBM Frank Mansell Award for Agriculture for TAFE NSW students to travel the United Kingdom to further their studies and/or professional experience in agriculture.
This scholarship provides a great opportunity for the individual student. It also provides an opportunity for TAFE NSW to show case its agriculture training.
The award is targeted at students who are no more than 23 years of age and have completed or will complete a TAFE Diploma in Agriculture or Rural Business Management in 2015. Applications close 30 October 2015.

Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation
Rural Scholarships are available to support individuals in NSW who demonstrate a passion for rural and commitment for any career that will ensure the future success of rural and regional NSW.
Scholarships of $5,000 for full-time study or $2,500 for part-time study are available
Smart and Skilled scholarship for fee free study
The NSW Government is offering fee-free scholarships for up to 50,000 students a year starting in July 2015.
If you are aged between 15 and 30, eligible for a concession fee and are thinking of enrolling a Certificate qualification (Certificate I to Certificate IV), then you might be eligible for a new government scholarship.
The scholarship means you can complete your study without paying fees, provided you start your course after 1 July 2015.
If you think you fit the bill, please contact TAFE NSW Staff to assist you when you enrol. The Government plans for these scholarships to be in place for the next four years.

Family & Community Services
Applications for the 2016 Youth Scholarships are now open.
The Youth Scholarship Program assists eligible young people living in social housing or on the NSW Housing Register to complete their HSC or TAFE equivalent. Two hundred and sixty six scholarships are on offer, which consists of a one off payment of $1,500 which is administered by the school or TAFE College on behalf of the student.
The money can be used to buy items or services which help the student complete the HSC or TAFE equivalent and can include:
- private tuition or coaching
- text books, workbooks, study guides and stationery
- specialist equipment (e.g. art, music or photographic materials)
- course costs (including materials), excursions, study camps, sport
- computer software and printer.
Aboriginal Enrolled Nursing Scholarship
The scholarship is provided by NSW Health to Aboriginal enrolled nurses who undertake post-enrolment studies relating to their nursing role. Each scholarship is up to $1,000.

The Pinnacle Foundation Scholarship
The Pinnacle Foundation has been established to provide scholarships to high-potential young people of diverse genders and sexualities (LGBTIQ) who can't afford to pay for their education. The Foundation also provides each scholarship recipient with a mentor experienced in the student's field of study.

Vision Australia Further Education Bursary
The Vision Australia Further Education Bursary provides people who are blind or have low vision with adaptive technology to help ensure that they can fully participate and succeed in further education.

Mick Young Scholarships
A Mick Young Scholarship can help prospective and existing students in financial need $500 - $1,000.
Mick Young Scholarships are available for students who are thinking of studying at TAFE Western, or who are already studying at TAFE Western and who can demonstrate financial hardship and motivation to complete a TAFE qualification. The scholarship can go towards expenses such as textbooks, equipment, transport and course fees. Scholarship funds are provided to successful applicants in a one-off payment.
Are you eligible?
To be a recipient of a Mick Young Scholarship you must:
- be committed to succeed in your studies and your career
- be able to demonstrate financial disadvantage and your motivation and commitment to further education and improving life circumstances
- be able to prove you would not be able to succeed in your studies without financial assistance
- be a full time or part time student, or a prospective student intending to enrol, or already enrolled, at a TAFE Institute or the TAFE Division of a dual-sector public university in a nationally recognised course listed on www.training.gov.au
- complete the Application Form in full, and submit it along with supporting documentation
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
Note: Scholarships are competitive as there is a limited number available. The scholarship is not available to international students
Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Scholarship
The Endeavour VET scholarship is internationally competitive and merit-based. It provides financial support for non-Australians to undertake vocational education at a Diploma, Advance Diploma or Associate Degree level in any field in Australia for up to two and a half years. All recipients will receive travel allowance, establishment allowance, monthly stipend, health insurance, travel insurance and tuition fee.

Macquarie Credit Union TAFE Western Scholarship

TAFE Western students from Dubbo and surrounding areas can apply for Macquarie Credit Union Scholarship.
The scholarship program will provide ten TAFE Western students with $1000 to be used for costs associated with their training - fees and learning resources.

Peter Althofer Award
The Peter Althofer Award is in honour of the contribution that Peter Althofer made to the Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum, is a reminder of his legacy, with the purpose of assisting people who have a strong interest in Australian flora.
To be eligible for the award you must be undertaking a plant related course which will lead to a Certificate or Diploma or studying in a particular field which is native plant related. The amount available to be awarded is $1,000.
