Innovative technologies for eLearning

At TAFE Western we are constantly working to make sure the latest technologies are used to deliver our online learning. These innovative technologies allow our teachers to deliver classes in ways that encourage learning and participation. Our materials are designed to work on a range of devices, including those that you bring yourself. These include desktop, laptops and tablets. See below for more details on some of these technologies.

Online learning technologies

Moodle image
Moodle is used by TAFE Western for teachers and students to communicate, collaborate and complete learning activities all in one place. You can submit your assignments and receive your grades within the Moodle.
To access your course materials your teacher will provide you with the URL address and the enrolment key (as needed) for your course. Relax and enjoy an engaging eLearning experience with TAFE Western's
Moodle site.
Visit the Moodle Frequently Asked Questions to find out more.
adobe connect image
Adobe Connect is a web-conferencing program. It provides a complete solution for rapid training and mobile learning enabling training that is accessible from anywhere, anytime, on virtually any device. It is free to use and only needs free, downloadable software to run. You can give presentations, open microphones and web cameras and share the computer screen of anyone in the room.
Sessions can be recorded so you can come back to revise (or catch up on those sessions you missed).
connected classrooms image
Connected classrooms are available on every TAFE Western Campus. This delivery allows you to attend your nearest TAFE college for regular scheduled class sessions.
Join teachers and students from other campuses via state-of-the-art connected classroom video conferencing technology.
You can view other participants using the Videoconference while participating in activities on the interactive whiteboard.
